Pepero: A Favorite Korean Snack/ ペペロ：韓国の大好きのスナック

Pepero, a popular Korean snack, chocolate-coated biscuit sticks.  It is similar to Glico's Pocky, there have been some controversy about the two. Pepero was first sold in 1983 by Lotte. 

ペペロは韓国の有名なスナックです。チョコレートお菓子です。グリッコのポッキーみたいですが、二つの会社は問題がありました。ロッテは1983年にペペロを売りました。

In Korea, they have Pepero Day (11/11) which is somewhat like Valentine's Day where you give a Pepero to loved ones.  It's not really sure how Pepero Day started, but there are some guesses that there was a fad that if you eat 11 Pepero on 11/11 11:11am and 11:11pm in 11 seconds to be tall and thin.  They even have a popular game for Pepero when two people bite each end, and whoever moves away first loses.  There are even Korean celebrities that help advertise Pepero. There are several flavors, my favorite is Chocolate with Almonds.

11月11日はペペロの日です。ペペロの日はバレンタインデーのようです。大事の人々にペペロにあげています。あまりペペロの日を初めてわかりませんが、すいそくがあります。11月11日に午前11時11分と午後11時11分に11本のペペロを食べなら、背が高くなって、ほそっこい体になります。韓国で人気なペペロのゲームがあります。韓国の芸能人もペペロを広告します。色々な味があって、私の一番の味はチョコとアーモンドです。
