Happy Pocky Day!!/ポッキーの日おめでとう！！

Pocky, a popular Japanese snack, chocolate-coated biscuit sticks.  It was first sold in 1966 by Ezaki Gilco.  Pocky received its name from the Japanese Onomatopoeic snapping sound of someone breaking Pocky apart, Pokkin.

ポッキーは有名なスナックです。チョコレートお菓子です。1966年に初めて売りました。

ポッキーの名前は日本語の擬音語の一つ「ポッキン」です。

Over the years, different flavors of Pocky are sold around the world, for example Strawberry, Matcha(Green Tea), Cookies and Cream, etc.

世界で、色々なポッキーの味を売っています。例えば、イチゴや抹茶やクッキーとクリームです。

11/11 is Pocky day because the numbers look like Pocky.  In Korea, they call it Pepero Day which the day is somewhat like Valentine's Day where you give a Pepero to loved ones.  Pepero was first sold in 1983 by Lotte. Around the world, different countries have their own snacks similar to Pocky.  

11月11日の数はポッキーみたいですから、その日はポッキーの日です。韓国で同じ日はペペロの日です。ペペロの日はバレンタインデーのようです。ロッテは1983年にペペロを売りました。色々国は自分のポッキーのようなあります。
