Baklava Frostie

Opa! I was able to go to Las Vegas' 43rd annual Greek Food Festival! There was so much food to choose from, the smell makes you want to eat everything.

オパ！ラスベガスの四十三年ギリシャの食べ物の祭りに行けられました。多い食べ物を択べられました。全部、美味しいにおいをできました。全部、食べたいです！

Baklava Frostie and Nestle Frappe

The first thing I tried was the Baklava Frostie.  It was really sweet! It has bits of baklava inside.  I think I didn't mix it well enough.  The bottom part was really sweet while the top part with the whip cream was just right in my opinion.

まずは、「バッカラバ・フロシー」を飲みました。とても甘かった！小さいバッカラバがあります。よくまぜなかったと思います。下にとても甘くて、上にウィップクーリムといっしょうに正しいあじだと思います。

My friend bought a Nestle Frappe. She told me it was really bitter, so she put some cream inside, but it was still a bit too bitter.  But she liked it anyway.  Once I taste it, the bitterness hit and I had to take a drink of mine to get rid of the bitter taste.  My friend says it taste good on the top, so she probably didn't mix it well either.

友達は「ネスッル・フラッペ」を買いました。友達は「はとてもにがい」と言いましたから、クルームに入りましたが、まだとてもにがいです。でも、友達はまだフラッペが好きです。私はそのフッラペを飲んで時、すぐににがいに口を付けました。ともだちは「上に美味しいで」と言いました、つまり、友達もよく混ぜなかったです。

Gyro

The main meal of my visit was the Gyro (Yee-roo).  It was a large portion with pita bread, mix of beef and lamb, tomatoes, and cucumber sauce that brought the whole dish together.  It was hard to find a way to eat it, but it was delicious~!

マインの食事はジャイロです。大きい人前で、ピタパンと牛肉とひつじの肉とトマトがあります。そして、大事なキュリーのサースがあります。食べにくかったですが、美味しい方です！。

Sample Plate

Lastly, the desserts! I bought a sample plate, my main focus was the baklava.  When I lived in Turkey, I had my first baklava; it's my favorite dessert in Turkey.  At the Greek Festival they also had Baklava.  I ate the pistachio baklava, it has the crunchy sweetness that tasted similar to the baklava in Turkey.  My family enjoyed the other pastries.

最後はデザートです！サンプルの皿を買って、私の一番好きなデザートはバッカラバです。タルコに住んでいる時、初めてバッカラバを食べました。タルコにバッカラバは私の一番好きなタルコのデザートです。「ピスタチオ・バッカラバ」を食べました。甘くて、サクサクで、味はタルコのバッカラバににています。家族はかし食べることが好きです。

Baklava

I'll list different Greek food that they had at the festival.
すみません、次はギリシャの食べ物をリストしますから、全部英語で書けます。

Baklava - Layers of fillo dough, nuts, honey, and spices
Bogata - Fillo dough filled with custard, bakes and topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon
Calamari - Breaded, prepared, and deep fried Greek Style
Diples (Thee-pless) - Deep fried flaky pastry, smothered in honey, nuts, and cinnamon
Dolmathes - Beef, rice, and spices mixed and rolled in tender grape leaves, baked in lemon sauce
Feta Cheese - A white tangy cheese processed from goat's milk and stored in brine
Grecian Chicken - Marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and roasted
Greek Coffee - Mediterranean espresso sweetened with sugar
Greek Fries - Potato wedges, seasoned with lemon and spices
Greek Salad - Greens topped with cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, feta cheese and olives, then sprinkled with olive oil, vinegar and oregano dressing
Gyro (Yee-ro) - Sliced beef, diced onions, tomatoes topped with cucumber sauce in pita bread (Mine came with lamb also)
Kalamata Olives - Black olives
Kataifi - Nut and spice mixture, rolled in shredded dough, soaked in honey and baked (Wished I tried this)
Koulourakia - Butter twist cookies for dipping in coffee
Kourabiethes - Round butter cookie, baked and smothered in powdered sugar
Loukaniko - Greek sausage with orange zest, then grilled
Loukoumathes (Honey Puffs) - Deep friend light dough balls drenched with honey and cinnamon (So many bees around this stand)
Melomakarona - Oval shaped nut cookies, honey dipped, and topped with cinnamon and nuts
Mezethakia - Greek appetizers served taverna style
Pa'i'dakia - Grilled lamb rib chops
Rice Pilaf - Rice cooked Greek Style
Roast Lamb - Marinated with olive oil and lemon, sprinkled with herbs and garlic then roasted
Saganaki - Deep fried Kasseri cheese with a splash of brandy and flame
Souvlaki - Kabob with pork or chicken, marinated and grilled
Spanakopita - Spinach, feta cheese, eggs, and herbs stuff in buttery fillo and baked
Tiropita - Cheese pie with fillo 

If you go to a Greek festival or a Greek restaurant, see if they have any of those food on their menu and try some~
